How it works.

Balanced is a simple to use platform that ensures that builders get paid and customers get what they’re paying for.

 
 
 

Step one

Project details, build dates and the payment schedule are inserted into our simple to use project information page.

Once the builder and customer confirm the information is correct, everything is recorded, ensuring that there are no misunderstandings and both parties are happy.

If you’ve already signed a contract that’s ok! Our platform will still work for you.

 
 

Step two

Once you’re ready to start building, the customer makes the first scheduled payment. This is held in a third party FCA regulated, fully secure escrow account until that stage of work is complete.

Once the stage is complete, the builders fees are immediately released. This is repeated for each stage of the build, even if they overlap.

While our platform is designed to avoid any disputes, if this does happen, we can help you through the process to resolve it and ensure the build stays on track.

 
 

Step three

All your project information is transformed into an interactive dashboard that lets you see key milestones, track progress and communicate in real time.

If there are unforeseen events - which we all know can happen during building work - the builder can easily modify the timeline, so everyone knows exactly what point the project has reached.

 
 
 

Step four

Balanced automatically offset a proportion of your building project carbon emissions using the information you give us, and offers you options for reducing your carbon footprint further.
